Charter trains & group rail travel since 1998 Real experience for the benefit of our clients
Train Chartering, now in its 13th year, has provided private train charters and carriage hires to a wide range of clients for a variety of purposes. The company operates mainly in the UK, Europe and North America.
We set up in 1998, focussed on private charter trains, when the term 'train chartering' was not in use, even in the rail industry.
A few years later, we began offering private carriages and escorted group travel so presenting a rail travel solution for any reasonable budget, to groups from 10 to over 700 per train. Outside this range, we set up a private Orient Express for 2 Hollywood celebrities and moved over 3,500 passengers in one day.
2010 is proving a busy year for us, despite fears of a slow-down prompted by the current recession. Looking forward to charter trains for our second Ryder Cup prompted us to glance back at what we have done since 1998.
Our extensive experience and wide contact base allows us to select the best trains available along with onboard services, so avoiding unsuitable rolling stock.
Train Chartering provides catering and other onboard services as well as facilitating the branding and theming of the train or carriage. This creates a memorable and unique event for every charter.
The extent and professionalism of the company's project and guest management services is unique in the rail industry; caring for every aspect of the event, from first contact through to ground handling in stations and transfers to the post-trip event.
This is a selection of our corporate clients and private customers; amongst those omitted are the clients that prefer anonymity. Train Chartering has run a number of trains for some clients, on the same day or over a period, or for subsequent years.
